Hacker Family Session | Nikki Jean Photography | Sterling Sauk Valley Area Photographer

I am SO late on this one!

But I JUST realized I never actually PUBLISHED this post! Lol, yes that's right I wrote it and never published it for my clients! So here we are, meet the wonderful Hacker family! I was first contacted by Mandy shortly after I did a few photos for her friend, Sara. We booked her session, went over outfits, and then our day was set!
Or was it? We get there and Dad isn't there yet {scheduled before he was off work, lol} and someone decided they didn't want to wear anything besides their favorite sweat pants and top. So we let sister throw leaves on him while we were getting sit up!

As most can see I don't normally do family sessions, just because they use to scare me! Well after working with this family, I realized I think I might like it!

Christmas from a Client

Today was an amazing day!

Let me give you a little back story to this post. About two years ago, I met a lovely lady named Kayla while purchasing a purse from her. Over the next two years we grew close, and became friends. During this time I met her mother Patty as well. I've been photographing Patty and her family for almost a year and a half now! I first started photographing Kayla and her husband Jesse { Whom by the way will be on the blog soon as well! }, then I was booked to photograph Patty's whole family, and while I do that to do her youngest daughter's senior photos.

Well, now I just wrapped up her youngest senior session, and working over the next year with Kayla and her family as they start to grow their family! Now skipping back to today! Today I received a visit from Kayla who was dropping off something her mother Patty had asked her to. As it turns out, Patty bought me a WONDERFUL Christmas gift! I now have an amazing new camera

I LOVE my new bag! Thank you so much to Patty and the Rood family for such an amazing year of photo shoots, and laughs, and thank you for my lovely gift!

Goodness, this session was a long time planning! Her mother booked her session at the start of September, we talked and planed a few things out, then we had to change the date, as it was suppose to rain. Well it never did, but it did on the day we changed it to! So finally we moved it to our final date, and it was just icky outside! Freezing, cloudy, and almost dark out. Can you tell though? Not at all! She was gorgeous and she rocked her session to a T!

Newborn Session / Sterling Illinois Photographer

Last month I was blessed with the witness of a baby Jayden's birthing. Now I am blessed with his appearance in our studio! Welcome Baby Jayden, our first newborn!

Jayden Schultz

A few weeks past, I was invited to attend the birthing of one of my clients second child. As a photographer I have photographed all types of sessions, but this one was the one session I cried during. Jennifer was admitted into the hospital as she was going into labor, with in an hour she was giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.

At 12:05pm, weighing in at 7lbs 40oz Jayden Schultz was born. Here is his story.

What Children Dream / Sterling, IL Photographer

Jamie and her mini Kay

"When I was a child, my world was filled with darkness. I dreamed of finding my home in a land far away filled with magic. As I got older I realized so much, but I never stopped believing. As I watch my little girl grow, I see the magic in her eyes. I know someday she will ask me about the land she dreams of, and all I can do is smile. For then we will set out together and find our paths in a world where there is no hate, no anger, no lies, but filled with magic and love."
